Share groups
begin Sunday, Sept. 10th, 5:00-6:30 p.m. Faithweavers for ages 3-3rd grade and WOW-J (Wild ones with Jesus) for grades 4-6.

Third Grade Bibles
are given at beginning of the school year followed by "Learning to use your Bible" sessions during October.

Confirmation
prepares 7th graders to become full members of the church. Classes begin in January and end with Confirmation Sunday in the spring. There is also a retreat trip during this time.

Acolyte ministry
encourages 6th graders to serve as worship leaders.

Created by God
educates 6th graders in appropriate Christian values regarding their human sexuality. This weekend workshop is usually held in February.

Vacation Bible School
Children’s Ministry is happy to announce that we are making some changes to Vacation Bible School this year to make it more family oriented. We are going to a night time VBS!
A family style meal will be served each night beginning at 5:15. We will gather for a large group Celebration from 5:45 until 6 and the children and volunteers will begin exploring Egypt and Joseph immediately following.
Dismissal will be at 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday. We will conclude our week with a VBS Cook out on the East Lawn on Friday, June 18th for all children, parents and volunteers.
Pre-registration for VBS is mandatory. No registrations will be taken the week of VBS and no walk ins will be accepted. Registration will begin May 16th and will conclude June 7th. For more information, call the church office at 690-8100.

Summer Camp at Lake Stephens
offers a Christian camping experience near Oxford, MS and is offered through the conference.

Weekday Play School and Pre-School

Goal
As a mission of the First United Methodist Church, our Weekday Play School and Pre-School, called Kids Play-Away Day or Kid’s P.A.D., will provide a loving, nurturing, Christian environment for preschoolers. Our program is designed to guide and develop children in social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual skills.

- Kindergarten: Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9:00am - 12:00pm; Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00am -2:00pm
- Pre-School for 4 years: 3 Day Program: Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00am - 2:00pm; Wednesday: 9:00am - 12:00pm 5 Day Program: Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9:00am - 12:00pm; Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00am - 2:00pm
- Pre-School for 2 and 3 years: Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-2:00
- Play School for ages 3-24 months: Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-2:00
