Children (1st-6th Grades)
Phase One
A. No kid’s ministry on campus.
B. Mrs. Karla will work remotely, she will go into the church offices as needed, with appropriate social distancing practices. When she enters the church, she will tell Clete where it needs to be sanitized.
C. Three kid’s Sunday school experience will be posted on Facebook and links emailed to parents.
D. Mrs. Karla will hold Zoom groups by age and gender a minimum of once every two weeks. Bible Study meeting virtually through Zoom for preteens.
Phase Two
A. Small in-person gatherings as approved, following guidelines (i.e. less than 50, etc.) Planning for and encouraging social distancing. Using hand washing/sanitizing. Wearing masks and gloves.
B. All kid Bible studies will begin meetings on campus. However, we may opt to move into a larger area that is not being used (old fellowship hall.) Or we may even meet outside as weather permits.
Sunday school and small group meetings may resume under the Phase II church guidelines. All protocols followed as possible.
1. Children’s Chapel in the TOT’s section will be handled in the classroom by teachers via TV and in room
teachers.
2. All children will have their temperature taken. Children with stomach issues within the last 24 hours will not
be allowed to attend.
3. Handwashing
4. Cleaning according to standards set by the church (Preschool/Dayschool)
5. Bathrooms – one person at a time in the restroom-
6. Gloves will be worn by greeters when assisting a child in a way that requires the adult to touch the child.
7. No Food served. Drinks served will be individually packaged. Water bottles are placed in each Sunday
school space.
8. Sunday School teachers will be asked to wear masks as will church staff working with children. Gloves can
be found at TOT / KID welcome areas (gloves only if personal contact is needed to care for a health or
bathroom issue)

D. Continuation of posted video lessons weekly, Zoom small groups and Preteen Bible Study on Zoom.

B. Sunday School Large Groups will begin. TOT / KIDS / Preteen under Phase III standards of cleaning and personal interactions as set by FUMC’s CTR. Between each group, the room air and benches will be sprayed. ½ the benches will be removed and the remaining spread out. Siblings will sit together.
C. Intense cleaning of all areas used. We will use as few rooms as possible as stated under the FUMC CTR Protocols.

D. In the KIDS area and TOTs Area we will have 3 large group experiences in the Kid’s section. This will allow for small groups. 3 year olds-K / 1st-3rd / 4th-6th between each group, the room air and benches will be sprayed. All benches and seats needed will be used in the space. FUMC’s small group standards for Phase IV will be met.
